Today’s Generation Today’s generations need guidance and love more than ever before. They need to be taught with patience and great wisdom. They communicate though phones, tablets and spent many hours sending text messages, chatting with friends and with strangers. They forget how to say thank you and how to be nice to their parents. They sing slogans of all kinds and sometimes do not understand right and wrong. Many have lost their innocence at a young age and have not enjoyed their childhood. What should be done? Train up your child in the way he/she should go. Children need nurturing and joy. They learn quickly and want to obey. Discipline as someone said once is “Heaven’s first command”. When there is discipline and love and joy in a family, it produces peace. Peace can be quickly seen in children who are being raised in a godly, happy and safe environment. Parents think that they no longer have control over their children. They are afraid to say no. They are afraid to be rejected by their own children. You can say no but be ready to explain why. Love bears and endures all things. Love never fails. You will wrestle but when you use the love factor, things are much better. Talk to your children. Be part of what they are doing. Find out what happened at school today. They want to tell you what is going on in their lives. They can be lonely even if they are looking tough. Help them. Teach them. If you do not assist and teach them, they will learn the wrong way and they will suffer for the rest of their lives. Children are blessings of the Lord. They are to be loved and nurtured in the admonition of the Lord. It is very unacceptable to abuse them. They are to be treasured and protected by their parents. They are to be taught daily with consistency. They love when their parents correct them because they want to acquire great wisdom to be able to pass it on to their own children. They are cute but if they are not taught properly, they could be a pain to live with. They want guidance and instructions from their parents and love to be told what to do. They do not know everything as they often say. They expect their parents to teach them all things and to have the answers to all of their problem Add Comment Post Title. 12/22/2011
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. May you receive the Joy and Peace that It brings to your heart. Jesus is the reason of the season. May He bring you good tidings and exceedingly great joy in this year to come. Do not give up. Keep looking up! This is what I have received from the Lord while in prayer for 2012 2012 will be a year of mercy. We would need to rely on Him for everything, for it is by his mercies that we are not consumed. (Lamentations 3:21-22) Key verses for 2012 2012 will be a year of harvest. 2012 will be a year of worship. 2012 will be a year to love God's word and to hide it in our heart 2012 will be a year to go up and grow up 2012 will be a year to trust in the Lord 2012 will be a year of no compromise 2012 will be a year of great faith in the body of Christ Do not waste time in 2012. Time lost yesterday cannot be redeemed but God wants us to redeem the times now because the days ahead are evil The Lord showed me his face and says "Do not give up" Then He showed me His nail scarred-hands and said "Do not give up" And showed me his heart and said "Do not Give up" Have a Wonderful New Year. Though 2012 will be another hard year, May you be strengthened with might and good courage throughout. Attitude of Gratitude 11/14/2011
When I was praying Saturday morning, I saw the word Gratitude written in front of me. God was reminding me to have an attitude of gratitude for all that He has done for me. We take anything for granted these days. We do not thank God enough. Also we do not teach our kids to be grateful. Instead we keep feeding their ungrateful behaviour by giving them more of their wants instead of their needs. They need to learn to be grateful. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18 MSG (Thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live), Paul instructs us to thank God in everything. He wants us to have an attitude of Gratitude no matter what. Learning to thank Him in everything will help us deal with the daily cares of this world. The mountains before us will be destroyed and our faith will grow stronger. When was the last time you really spend time to praise the Lord and to thank Him for all that He has done for you. I would suggest that you get a notebook and a pen and start writing all the blessings you received during the last few days. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you. Then you will see how blessed you are. God loves those who are grateful. An Attitude of Gratitude will make you leap for joy. The more you do it the happier you will be. Safety and Protection 10/17/2011
How do we protect our kids from strangers, yet letting them benefit and participate in this new world of technology. Kids were given to parents as a blessing. We need to nurture them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Children are gifts from God and they are special. They are to be protected by their parents . We cannot be afraid of the tears when we teach them to obey. You need to reassure them of your love and at the same time let them know the dangers in their world. There is a fuel of rebellion that feeds the kids. One needs to be the friend of one bad apple and automatically becomes part of a click. Parents need to talk to their children and should not be afraid to read the text sent to them and the text going out from them. They need to be taught of good morale on of the Lord We have a God-given mandate to love our children, not to provoke them but to protect them. Children need guidance and crave for it. Many kids out there are looking for their parents to spent time with them and to direct them in the path they should go. Unfortunately, There is a lack of good judgment among parents and many have lost authority over their kids. Kids want to learn and they need to be covered. Many kids with that their parents would spend more time with them. There is no more family time where they feel secure and loving. They are crying for more and no one is hearing them. A series of technical means such as friends, mobile phones, testing, chatting, gang, Hollywood, sex, etc., have taken over their lives and educate them. There is an emptiness, a craving for more love more affection, more affirmation, more encouragement. Who will hear the cry of their hearts. Texting 09/20/2011
Is it good or bad? It could be both. It could be good and effective mostly when you need to reach your kids with an important message. The mobile phone was given to them so that they can be in touch with their parents and call them if there is an emergency. It could be bad if they exchange text with a friend who has many friends. In other words they have one friend who breaks the rules by sending their conversation to a group of other friends who are wild and they are not the type of people that you would want your kids to hang out with. I will call this dangerous. Well, do you remember when you were young. Your parents told you whom you should hang out with and whom to stay away from. They were able to oversee who your friends are. With this new technology, parents have no control over what their kids are doing and whom they are talking too. Grammar – Can your kids spell out words? We are loosing a whole generation who will not be able to communicate and spell correctly. This is a big problem. Texting keeps our kids from sleeping at night. May I suggest that you pay a visit to your kids’ bedroom around 11:00 pm – midnight. You will probably see a little light coming under the cover. If you ask, what are you doing, the answer will be “I am checking the time” Most of the time they are texting instead of sleeping. Testing gives them attitude and helps them to have attitude. How can we protect our kids from this? We will continue later….. At Calvary 08/01/2011
At Calvary, where my Jesus was crucified A place I would never forget A place where my Jesus suffered and died Where He paid it all for you and for me At Calvary, His sweet nail-scarred hands Reached out and rescued my failing soul When I was heading straight to hell He took my place and gave me blessed assurance At Calvary we were cleansed With Our Saviour’s Precious Blood He opened His arms on a rugged cross To welcome us in His Everlasting Kingdom Oh yes! At Calvary, who will forget Not you, not me At Calvary, the message is clear Jesus lives, His tomb is empty, He is Risen Margo Kemp and the Holy Spirit. The Heart's Condition 07/25/2011
Man’s nature is wicked. We have ugly thoughts that need to be controlled with love. The heart is very deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? There is one who searches the heart and examines the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve. We can depend on the Creator to help us examine our heart and see if we are on the right way. He will lead us to the way everlasting. He sees how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of our heart was only evil all the time. Our heart is full with pride and deception. We can change our thinking. We can have a heart of flesh instead of a heart of stone. We can think on good things. It says that the godless in heart harbor resentment; even when he fetters them, they do not cry for help. There is only one way to change our heart, which is to let the Creator who formed it and knew all about it to help us rethink our thoughts with love, joy and peace. Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. A heart that is at peace, gives life to the body. Let Joy penetrates your heart and you will enjoy life forever. Angels 07/21/2011
Angels are real. Once I bought a washing machine in a store not too far from my house. I told the vendor that I could take it home if he would put it on a cart for. So he helped me do that. I left feeling very strong and proud of myself as a woman. I was doing fine until I arrived in front of the building where I lived. There were about 9 steps to go up to and there was no way I was going to lift up that heavy thing and get it inside. I sat in front of the building. I prayed and asked God to send some of his angels to help me bring the washing machine inside the lobby. Minutes after I prayed, a smiling young man dressed in a Navy uniform arrived and asked me: Ma’m, do you need help? Yes I replied. Could you please help me bring this washing machine inside? He quickly lifted the machine with both hands, entered the elevator and brought it to my floor. I called my friend who was visiting me at that time to come to the door with a tip for the young marine, when we turned to tip him, he completely vanished. We thank God for sending his angels to take charge over us. (Psalm 91) Have faith in God 07/19/2011
I woke up at 3:00 AM in the morning from a dream. I was bleeding from that time to 1:00 PM. I made my way to the city to visit my doctor urgently. When I entered his office, he asked me “how did you get here?” by train I replied. He took me in immediately and asked me. “When are you going to have hysterectomy?” What is that I asked? He replied the procedures that we do to remove all your feminine organs. Never, I said. Then He asked “what kind of flowers do you like. I again replied, what do you mean? You are going to bleed to death he said. You are not God, I said. I will not have hysterectomy and I will not die either. I stood up and said bye, bye, when you have a procedure that can help me, you can call me. I left his office and headed to a choir rehearsal that was taking place in another borough. As I entered the place, the choir Director said to me: “you just came from the doctor, and you received bad news” Do not worry, all is well. God will heal you. Thank you I whisper to the Lord. The choir rehearsed and we left ready to sing at the crusade the next day. Thursday, I arrived to the crusade. It was a huge one with about 12,000 people inside, ready to see the power of God move. Many filled the stadium and several thousands waited outside. I spoke to Jesus and said: “look, I am not feeling well, I am bleeding a lot, but I will stand when they ask me to stand and sit when the Minister says to sit I was expecting to run to the bathroom back and forth but the Lord stopped the bleeding while I was singing. The next day, while I was at the Crusade, the doctor left a message to say that the problem can be solved through laparascopy.. After the procedure, the doctor curiously said, tell me, what made you so sure about yourself? I answered: I have a good friend who cares about me. When I talk to Him, He listens. He and I are very good friends. He gave me a secret. He said to ask Him anytime, to seek Him always and to knock at his door until He answers. Then the doctor, asked: “who is that? Oh, I said, His name is Jesus. If you believe in Him, He will be your best friend too and save your life. That is good, he said. Keep on doing what you are doing and see you in 3 months. Faith is important in our life. When we trust in God, He gives us peace that we all need to live on a daily basis. Taste Him and see that He is good. Sugars 07/14/2011
Natural sugars derived from fruits, plants, legumes are good for you but regular sugar is bad for the body. Sugars can be very dangerous to your health. It can cause diabetes, cancer, cavities, rotten teeth, parasites, infections, etc. A good diet with fruits and vegetables, grains, lots of water and exercise can prolong your lifespan but a diet full with sugar can reduce your chance to be healthy. Sugar tastes good but it poisons our body. Many of us were raised on sugar, with lot of candies, cookies, cakes when we were growing up. Our parents thought they were being nice to us by giving us a candy or an ice cream after diner. Though we were happy to get it, the bad feelings and the sickness that it brought to our belly weren’t pleasant and sweet. Therefore, treat your kids with real fruits and encourage them to drink plenty of water instead of sodas and juice. | AuthorMy Name is Margo Kemp.
